General Information

All registered football players for the 2010 season (except for Flag, Jr. Mitey Mite and Midget players) must attend one of the TPPW Football Evaluation days on either May 15th or 16th (players do not need to attend both days). All registered players who are not on a wait list are eligible for a roster spot in their division (players on a wait list will be notified prior to the evaluation dates). No one is cut from a team based on the evaluations. The purpose of the evaluations are to familiarize the coaches with the players prior to the player draft.

Players should wear cleats, shorts and t-shirt to the evaluation. Each player will run a 40-yard sprint and a series of other agility drills. They will also throw and catch a few passes. Each player evaluation only lasts a few minutes. Players must attend or they will not be eligible to be drafted and will instead be assigned to a team by the TPPW Board at their discretion. Evaluation times per division is as follows:

The Championship football teams included:

*The Division 1 Pee Wee Torrey Pines Falcons football team coached by Gregg Wolfson who beat a tough Temecula Golden Bruins team by a score of 17-14. This was Coach Wolfson’s fourth Palomar Conference Championship in 4 years.

*The Division 1 Jr. Pee Wee Torrey Pines Falcons football team coached by Mike Lytle who prevailed over the Carlsbad Lancers in an overtime game by a score of 20-14.

*The Division 2 Pee Wee Torrey Pines Golden Falcons football team who prevailed over the Poway Titans by a score of 28-16.

Participation in TPPW requires a substantial time commitment from both football players, and families. We are proud of the loyalty, dedication and sportsmanship of our members.

Our excellent reputation for the quality and the integrity of our association has earned Torrey Pines Pop Warner the respect of the other Pop Warner associations in Palomar Conference.
